Levi Ring Bio

Levi Ring (b. 2002) is an aspiring comic book writer and artist whose love for the medium runs deep. Levi’s story with comics began when he was 11 years old and he began attending a boarding school across the country. Naturally homesick and scared, he found solace in a small comic book collection owned by the school. This collection of comics mixed in with his love for pop culture was fundamental in shaping who he would become as both an artist and person. 

Over the years, as Levi’s love for comics grew larger, so did his itch to make his own comics. In 2021, Levi applied to and was accepted to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he graduated with a BFA in Spring 2025. After taking a gap year, Levi will be returning to SAIC in Fall 2026 to earn his MFA in Comic Book Studies. 

Outside of comics, Levi is also a talented character designer and screenwriter. During his free time, Levi enjoys playing Nintendo games, which he has also loved from a young age. Another passion for Levi is watching adult animated TV shows such as South Park and Family Guy. Levi also enjoys researching pop culture history. 

Overall, Levi’s main goal is to prove that he can succeed in the world of comic books, and to make stories that are funny, quirky, and hopefully resonate with many different kinds of people. Levi wants to be a part of the next generation of comic book greats, and he will work hard to make that happen, both for himself and for everyone who has supported him. That is who Levi is. He is a comic book writer/artist.
